Three cocktail recipes to keep you warm

Christmas is knocking on the door and what could be nicer than combining the fine aromas of the cold season in a winter cocktail.

During this time there is a lot of hectic in everyday life and in the office, but we should also allow ourselves the time for a little break and do something good for our palates.

Certain aromas are particularly closely associated with this contemplative season. And our friends at ShakeNight introduce you to five simple, but very Christmassy cocktail recipes that will invigorate your body and mind.

Lillet Noel

The first drink that we present to you today is a very special winter cocktail with aromas of ripe cherries, a hint of bitterness and a fine herbal note. This cocktail has the romantic name Lillet Noel

You need:

  • 5cl Lillet Blanc
  • 5cl Cherry Nectar
  • 10cl Tonic Water
  • Rosemary

Preparation : Put all the ingredients one by one in a glass, then stir carefully and garnish.

Tip : With a candy cane, roasted marshmallows or cotton candy, every drink can be decorated for Christmas quickly and with little effort.

Orange Angel

The second drink is characterized by intense citrus aromas that not only taste great but are also good for our heart and immune system. The flavonoids contained in the oranges, especially hesperidin, protect us against heart diseases related to high blood pressure.

You need:

  • 2 cl amaretto
  • 2 cl white tequila
  • 20 cl orange juice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

preparation: Put all ingredients with large ice cubes in a shaker and shake vigorously until a good foam is formed.

Tip : You can decorate this drink with fresh or dried orange slices. You can also sprinkle it with cinnamon or cocoa powder to make it look even tastier.

Pumpkin Spiced Espresso Martini

The last drink is an absolute classic and not only makes us awake thanks to its extraordinary aroma. The espresso also makes its contribution.

You will taste this delicious variation of the Espresso Martinis if you find the classic Pumpkin Spiced Latte just as delicious.

You need:

    • 2.5cl 1776 James Pepper Bourbon
    • 2.5cl Crème de Cacao
    • 25ml espresso
    • 10ml pumpkin syrup

Preparation : Just like with the Orange Angel, simply put all the ingredients in a shaker with large ice cubes and shake vigorously until a good foam is created.

Tip : You can decorate this wonderful drink creation with coffee beans and a little cinnamon.

If you don’t feel like having cold drinks, it is of course always a good idea to simply prepare a delicious mulled wine for friends and family.

Here, too, you can let your imagination run wild and use all the berries and fruits that you like.

You can simply use the following recipe as the basis for your mulled wine:

      • 1 bottle of good red wine (we prefer dry wine)
      • 300ml orange juice
      • 2 cinnamon sticks
      • 6 cloves
      • 4 star anise
      • 2 tbsp cane sugar
      • 2 tbsp honey

Heat all the ingredients together and make sure that the mulled wine does not boil.
